Access for every learner
ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT
How we are making the HeadHunters Academy website and learning experience easier to use, and how to ask for support or an adjustment.
Prepared 3 September 2026 · Review at least annually and whenever the service or law changes
Our commitment
HeadHunters Academy wants its website, communications and education services to be usable by as many people as reasonably possible. We aim to remove barriers before they disadvantage a learner, applicant, employer or visitor.
We are working towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. This includes clear page structure, keyboard access, visible focus, meaningful link text, colour contrast, image alternatives, responsive layouts and respect for reduced-motion preferences.
Compliance status
The Academy templates have passed automated and manual structural checks, but an independent assistive-technology audit has not yet been completed. We will update this statement after that audit and publish any unresolved failures with target dates.
Known limitations and planned work
- Some third-party WordPress, login or profile components may not yet have received the same depth of accessibility testing as the public Academy templates.
- Future video learning must include appropriate captions, transcripts and accessible controls before publication.
- New PDFs and downloadable learning materials require an accessibility check and an alternative format where needed.
- The future student portal and VLE are outside the scope of this statement until separately specified, tested and commissioned.
If a third-party component prevents access, contact us. We will provide a reasonable alternative while we investigate.
Adjustments for learners and apprentices
Education and training providers have a duty to consider reasonable adjustments for disabled learners under the Equality Act 2010. Support is individual: it may involve a different format, additional time, assistive technology, adapted teaching or assessment arrangements, depending on need and the relevant awarding or assessment rules.
Tell the Academy about a barrier as early as possible. We will discuss what you need, record only the information necessary to arrange support and explain where an awarding body, employer or assessment organisation must be involved. Learning-support information is not shared with an employer without an appropriate lawful basis and, where current funding rules require it, the learner’s agreement.
Report a barrier or request an alternative format
Email hello@headhunterssalon.co.uk or call the formal privacy and complaints contact on 07719 725041. Tell us the page, document or service affected, what happened, the format or adjustment you prefer and how we should contact you.
If you believe you have experienced disability discrimination and remain unhappy after contacting us, you can seek independent advice from the Equality Advisory and Support Service (opens in a new tab).
How we prepared this statement
This statement was prepared on 3 September 2026. The current Academy templates were checked across desktop and mobile layouts for headings, landmarks, keyboard-operable navigation, form labels, image alternatives, colour states, zoom/reflow risks, reduced motion and common automated accessibility failures. This is not a substitute for testing with disabled users and assistive technology.
